Phoenix Brighton

One of the highlights last year, this year there’s an even bigger programme of performances and music events and a new collaboration with Playgroup. This huge event will take place across two close venues: Phoenix Brighton and The Ocean Rooms.

The Ocean Rooms hosts a special programme of music from Nuit Blanche Amiens curated by La Lune des Pirates’ Frederic Carre featuring At the Same Tme, Beyonders and The Name.

There’s also late night talks programme organised by The Institute of Unnecessary Research with talks scheduled from 7pm until 3am featuring The Institute of Unnecessary Research: Anna Dumitriu, Hilde Fuchs, Gordana Novakovic, Blay Whitby, Dave Lawrence, Richard Robinson, Luciana Haill, Monia Brizzi, Theresa Sundt and Simon Park plus independent speakers: Art Clay, Etan Ifield, Tobie Kerridge, Barry L Roshto, Harry Witchell and The Brighton Salon,

Playgroup started in 2006 with an ethos of bringing a festival vibe into nightclubs with all the fancy dress, games and silliness that involves. In 2009 they won the Brighton Festival Fringe Award for Most Groundbreaking Show for their speakeasy. www.playgrouplive.com
