The software

Many different criteria must be balanced in order to provide high quality, comfortable buildings that also comply with building regulations, minimise upfront costs to the client, optimise on-going energy costs and reduce environmental impact.

DesignBuilder, a completely modular software solution, includes a core 3D modeller and 11 modules that combine to provide detailed analysis for any building. You can choose from one of our packages, or you can select individual modules. Each module is fully integrated with the others.

Our software packages contain the most common module combinations for each class of user as shown below. Modules can also be purchased separately and a site network license with any combination of modules is also available. To learn more, click on the module or the job title.

DesignBuilder v6.1.0.6 System Requirements

• Windows 10/11
• i5, i7, AMD or Xeon processor with 4 or more cores.
• 8-16GB (or higher) RAM
• At least 200 GB of free disk space. SSD speeds up software operation and is more robust, especially for laptops.
• Pointing device such as a mouse or laptop trackpad. Users prefer to use a mouse over trackpads.
• 100% NVIDIA graphics adapter with hardware acceleration running in 32-bit color mode.
• 17.5″ or more, 1280×1024 pixels screen or larger for efficiency during modeling and for displaying high quality visualisation images and walkthroughs of DesignBuilder Models and CFD Results. Large screens (e.g. DesignBuilder will work best on large screens, such as 27″

How do I download and install DesignBuilder v6.1.0.6

1. Once you have finished downloading the files required, click the download button. Depending on your download speed, this may take a few minutes or several hours.
2. Extract the files. If you don’t know how to extract, see this article. QWERTY will always be the password to extract.
3. 
   Run Setup.exe and install the software
